WHYY Looking for Stories About Route 13 (Du Pont Highway) for Documentary

Danielle Burrows is a producer working on a WHYY (public media) documentary about Route 13’s history, as well as its contribution to Delaware’s economy and culture.

She is looking for some help with this special, and would like to talk to:

  • Anyone whose home sits on Route 13.
  • Anyone with a poignant story related to Route 13 (maybe they traveled up and down it to meet the person they’d eventually marry, or travel up and down it everyday for work)
  • Anyone whose life or business has been directly impacted by Route 13
  • Anyone whose ancestors worked in any capacity on the DuPont Highway’s construction in the 1910s and 1920s.

Anyone with questions or who would like to share some stores on this subject please feel free to email Danielle at dburrows@whyy.org.
