The Gorsuch Tavern and the Christiana Resistance of 1851

At the 19 mile stone on the York Road stands a structure built in 1810 by Capt. Joshua Gorsuch. This place is connected with the Christiana Resistance, according to the state historical marker.  Baltimore Countians departed from here to go to Christiana Pennsylvana to reclaim their slaves.
