Delaware Humanities Forum Explores First State’s Largest City in Audio Tour

Press Release – Delaware Humanities Forum

The Delaware Humanities Forum is pleased to present Market Street: River to River, a self guided audio tour of Market Street, the main thoroughfare of Wilmington’s central business district. A close look at the city’s landscape reveals national trends in architecture, retailing, industrialization, urban planning and preservation.

The tour is divided into smaller segments by block. As you listen to the audio, click through the images to see the buildings as they are being discussed. Use your phone, tablet, or computer to explore historic Market Street. For a more hands on experience bring your mobile device to Market Street and let us take you on a walking tour! Good weather calls for good history!
