St. James – An Attractive Delaware Episcopal Church

Just off the bustling Kirkwood Highway in Stanton, Delaware there is an attractive old stone house of worship, St. James Episcopal Church.  It was built about 1822, replacing an earlier frame church that burned in 1820.  A house of worship has occupied the site since 1716, according to the National Register nomination.
