Kent County voter records shed light on local history

CHESTERTOWN — Researchers interested in the history of Kent County will soon have easier access to a valuable source of information about the population of the county in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.  The staff and volunteers at the Historical Society of Kent County are in the process of making available to the public a collection of voter registration records for the county. The records, which cover the years 1894 to 1929, are in 36 large volumes, arranged by voting district and precinct.
