WEDNESDAY EVENT IN CHESTERTOWN EXPLORES CULTURAL DIVERSITY VIA COMMUNITY DIALOGUE

Press Release – Maryland Humanities Council

(Baltimore – June 6, 2011) Are you a Kent County resident who cares about cultural diversity, African‐American heritage, and historic preservation? Kent County Cultural Diversity group, Kent County Arts Council, the Maryland Humanities Council, St Paul’s Episcopal Church, and Emmanuel’s Church are hosting an important community dialogue about cultural diversity, exploring how citizens can collaborate effectively on issues of cultural diversity, history and preservation. The program offers a creative interactive visioning exercise that will be fun, honest and compelling, bringing together community members for an opportunity to share opinions and ideas. This dialogue is part of the Maryland Humanities Council’s Practicing Democracy program.
