The Edward H. Nabb Research Center for Delmarva History at Salisbury University is an excellent special collections library for those doing research on the lower Eastern Shore. The facility collects and preserves archival material, artifacts, books, maps, photographs and microfilm pertaining to the Delmarva Peninsula. It’s resources are strong and whenever I do fieldwork in the region I use those collections to investigate the past.
In addition to serving as a repository for special collections, the Nabb Center offers high quality lectures and exhibits, so we try to keep an eye on their programs. It’ll be easier now as they have launched a blog last month. They’re also on Facebook.
