Several interesting events highlight the popular First Friday program in Chestertown for October. At the Historical Society, Christopher George, author of “Terror on the Chesapeake,” is the guest lecturer at the History Happy Hour, which includes a wine and cheese reception from 4 to 6 p.m. George will describe the War of 1812 on the Chesapeake Bay, and also sign his definitive book on the subject.
