To and From the Eastern Shore: The Chesapeake Bay Bridge

On the “Roads to the Future” web site there’s an interesting article about the history of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.  Published by Scott M. Kozel, it draws on an old 1964 engineering report to provide some additional insight.  Ferries provided the means of transportation before the first span opened in 1952 and a 1942 timetable for the Love Point Ferry is shown below.  If you interested in this subject, click here.  Thanks Scott for publishing the informative material on the web.
